Schoolday's are supposed to be the best
days of your life.
Schools in the Hexham and Haydon Bridge High School pyramids
certainly do their best to make their pupils' lives happy.
Schools operate on a three-tier system,
with youngsters starting their school lives
at a school within their own village or area
of town.
They stay at first school until they are nine, when they take
the next step up the ladder by going to middle school. Here
they link up with children from other schools or neighbouring
villages.
Four years later and it's on to high school, both of which
have enviable records when it come to GCSE and A levels.
